Summary
EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is searching for a Digital Optimization Manager to join our Digital team. The Digital Optimization Manager will work alongside digital team members to create sharp, thoughtful, and engaging email content and identify opportunities to optimize landing pages, autoresponders, audiences, and other aspects of our digital fundraising user experience to maximize revenue.

Essential Job Functions

Lead efforts to optimize our digital fundraising user experience, including drafting, testing, and optimizing landing pages, welcome series, email autoresponders, and audiences;
Proactively identify opportunities to capture additional digital revenue or supporters by optimizing sign-up forms and donation pages across the EMILY’s List website;
Work with social media and SMS staff to identify and execute on organic opportunities to grow our email subscriber base and create synergy between the email program and our other communities;
Collaborate with Email Manager to prioritize and schedule user experience tests and integrate testing plans into the email calendar;
Produce emails from start to finish, including drafting, editing, running approvals, set up, segmentation, and testing;
Draft email content that is creative, timely, and inspiring;
Help brainstorm new email angles and testing strategies, as well as creative content for our other digital channels;
Work closely with our in-house designers, web developer, and data contractors to evaluate and optimize email performance;
Manage large-scale email campaigns with a focus on long-term storytelling;
Other projects as assigned.
Evening and weekend work will be expected on an as-needed basis, especially during key fundraising deadlines.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least two years of email writing experience. Experience on a political campaign or writing for a political candidate or organization is highly preferred.
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of email fundraising best practices, excellent attention to consistency and detail, and strong project management skills.
Creativity, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and a respect for our community members are all required for this role.
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and interpersonal and relational skills are critical to success.
Experience working with a CRM or mailer like Blue State Digital, EveryAction, ActionKit, or Salsa is required.
