This is a 6 to 12month** mandate in La Paz or Cochabamba, Bolivia.

The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). 

The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in countries of intervention in inclusive, innovative and sustainable initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.

Here’s what your daily life will look like:  

In close collaboration with local partner organization and Oxfam’s in-country team members, your mandate will be to:
 
  • Support the local partner organization in its monitoring and evaluation activities, adopting a feminist approach (review, evaluation and updating of existing project measurement, monitoring and control tools and instruments);
  • Provide methodological support to the local partner organization for the monitoring and evaluation of its strategic planning;
  • Support the local partner organization in the construction of monitoring-evaluation indicators and the creation of their respective data sheets;
  • Support the local partner organization in collecting, processing, analyzing and drawing up monitoring and evaluation reports using a feminist approach.

For this mandate you must:  

  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in social sciences, economics, administration, project management, or any other relevant field;
  • Have 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs and/or projects;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Master the Office Suite.

 What we offer:

    • 20% increase in the allowance per accompanying child (maximum of 2 children)
    • 1,500$ CAD per year/per child for school fees
  • Monthly housing allowance;

  • 200$ CAD for additional luggage;
  • Advantageous medical insurance for you and the accompanying child(ren);
  • A volunteer support program during your mandate and up to two months after the end of your mandate;
  • 20 days of vacation and other holidays;
  • Access to various training courses (E-Learning, etc.);

** For mandates shorter than 12 months, conditions can be different.
