Applications Solution Architect, Information Technology (“IT”), Kuwait

We currently have an opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Applications Solution Architect with a proven track record of high-quality delivery.  You will be responsible for strategy, design, development, deployment and support for ERP and other organizational software applications.  Additionally, you will be required to provide consultancy services to all business and support functions - guiding them on the capabilities of technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for Pace and drive strategic business growth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand the business processes and business strategy for all business areas and have solid experience with implementing and delivering ERP solutions to key business processes: Finance (standard accounting, budgeting, Cost control, Project Accounting, treasury) and its financial reporting, Procurement Management, PMIS, HRIS and CRM for Project Delivery.
  • Understand technology trends and best practices for value creation.
  • Collaborate with business partners in identifying opportunities to streamline their operations with ERP solutions, SharePoint, and other industry specific applications for business and application integrity.
  • Designing integration solutions for backend services and ERP applications
  • Producing data conversion and testing strategies
  • Work with the project stakeholders to understand the business outcomes and strategy so that recommended solution options provide the best fit against requirements and budget.
  • Manage complex projects working closely with the business functions and consistently deliver application projects with a high level of quality and functionality that meets the end user's requirements.
  • Lead a team of ERP analysts in the design, build and deployment of business capabilities/projects by leveraging an in-depth understanding of the best practices - business processes, data and solution capabilities.
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight to the applications support teams.
  • Coordinate with other IT functions to perform analysis and design of applications and systems.
  • Manage outsourced work, consultants and other internal/external vendors and relationships.
  • Provide coaching, training and support to ensure retention, motivation and engagement of current and future team members.
  • Responsibilities will include training employees, planning, addressing complaints/risks and resolving challenges/issues.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
  • ERP functional and Technical certifications in finance management, trade & logistics, Project management and accounting, Datawarehouse & BI tools, DevOps are a plus
  • PMP/PRINCE2 Certification is preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ ERP or related experience in various Functional or Technical positions with project management experience managing large-scale, regional implementations.
  • Experience in full life cycle ERP implementation projects in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with industry best practices and implementing these into ERP business processes.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilising tools and techniques to effect business change.

Functional Experience

  • Strong knowledge in multiple ERP modules of in finance management, trade & logistics, Project management and accounting, HR & Payroll. Experience of variant configuration is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to express complex concepts effectively to the business, yet technical enough to have a detailed review of designs and approaches with technical resources.
  • Ability to oversee multiple concurrent deliverables of team/SME, develop internal/external relationships, establish cross-team partnerships. Experience leading large complex cross-functional programmes.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities to maintain a balance between day to day operations, projects and strategic development.
  • Awareness of integration techniques and tools.
  • Awareness of data design principles and modelling techniques.
  • Technical understanding of the Microsoft software stack including Azure, .NET, C#, JS, etc.
  • Ensure Systems Documentation in place and updated as changes applied such as Business Requirement Documents, Design Documents (Blueprint) and Business Process Documentations
