Armenia is a land-locked country located in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. Based on OECD/DAC criteria, it is classifed as a lower middle-income country. According to World Bank data, the country had a nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita of US $3,600 in 2016. Economic growth dropped from 3% in 2015, to 0.2% in 2016. It is, however, according to IMF projections, expected to rise to 3% again in 2017.
