Finland makes €2 million voluntary contribution to support Ukraine

The Government of Finland has made a new voluntary contribution of €2 000 000 to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2022 and its successor Action Plan, bringing their total support to the Action Plan to €3.57 million.

Finland has also contributed €750 000 to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases, end violence against women, support the Council of Europe Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion 2020-2025, to promote human rights and equality for LGBTI persons and to support civil society.

Finland has also pledged €200 000 to the Human Rights Trust Fund. The agreements were signed on 16 May 2022 by Ambassador Nina Nordström, Permanent Representative of Finland to the Council of Europe, and Mr. Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary-General.
