World Water Week 2022

World Water Week 2022

📅 23 August- 1 September 2022
 Stockholm, Sweden

Dating back to 1991, World Water Week is the leading annual conference on global freshwater issues. Every year since, we attract a diverse mix of participants, including leading scientists, UN experts, local community groups, entrepreneurs, top politicians, students, and CEOs. Together can develop solutions to the world’s greatest water-related challenges, with topics ranging from food security and health to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis.

The theme of the conference for 2022 is Seeing the Unseen: The Value of Water, to help us better understand the real value of water for people and nature. World Water Week offers new tools for addressing the global water crisis which is, even more, direr than once anticipated. In particular, focus on the threats to the freshwater hidden in soils, aquifers, and the atmosphere. This is the bulk of the world’s freshwater and the key to solving the global water crisis. Equally important is understanding the real value of all water so that make better decisions. How the world manages water will determine if the world wins the fight against climate change, hunger, and poverty.
