Agriculture is vital to Asia’s economy but challenges related to the production, storage, and distribution of food hamper progress. What’s more, farm workforces are aging and decreasing, post-harvest losses are significant, and climate change is a growing threat.
As mobile ownership and coverage in rural Asia increase, farmers and agribusinesses can use digital technologies to address the challenges they face. This Symposium, held in partnership with the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in Korea, will share findings and recommendations to promote agricultural and rural development through digital solutions.
