Interactions are central to our daily work, be it in meetings, exchanges, workshops, or trainings. Facilitation is the art of understanding, designing, and guiding these interactions. However, we often stick to conventional collaboration methods such as presentations, group discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
In this training, we aim to expand your facilitation skills to make exchanges more engaging, inclusive, and efficient. We will discuss the roles and challenges of a facilitator and practice creative methodologies and tools that can be applied in various situations.
The main focus will be on practical examples of facilitation within international cooperation. Participants will learn how to adapt facilitation techniques to challenging circumstances with different stakeholders. Together, we will collect best practices on how to ensure a productive and collaborative environment in our (daily) work as peacebuilders, development, or humanitarian workers.
