Empowering Lithuanian businesses to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery
The partnership with DevelopmentAid is part of Innovation Agency Lithuania’s broader mission to empower the local private sector with intelligence tools and access to business opportunities to support Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
Under Ukraine’s National Recovery Plan, the country is aiming to target reconstruction and modernization as part of its goal to join the European Union.
Since the launch of the plan in 2022, Innovation Agency Lithuania has encouraged local businesses to engage with domestic and international partners and invest in supporting reconstruction projects across various sectors in Ukraine, particularly the construction, transport, agriculture, energy, demining, healthcare, social security, and education sectors.
The motivation behind Innovation Agency Lithuania’s decision to form the partnership with DevelopmentAid is to give local businesses an edge on the competition by offering them free access to international procurement tenders, global financial opportunities, and research capabilities in order to be better equipped to successfully participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Lithuanian businesses interested in rebuilding Ukraine are invited to register at the b2lithuania portal so that they can be entered onto a database of Lithuanian entrepreneurs and receive sector-specific consultations. Registration information and feedback from stakeholders will then be used to craft a bilateral assistance plan that will be aligned with the needs of the Ukrainian economy.
Innovation Agency Lithuania is headquartered in Vilnius and has offices in 13 Lithuanian cities. Formed in April 2022 as a non-profit agency under the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the agency has administered a wide range of business support measures to local companies valued at over €500 million to date.
