Polish mid-sized companies are set to benefit from fresh financing thanks to a new €200 million loan, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced. The funds go to BNP Paribas Leasing Services in Warsaw, who will offer Polish businesses—including SMEs, Mid-Caps, housing associations, and even individuals—a boost to kick off over €500 million in new investments.
At least 30% of the money is for climate-focused projects, like solar panels, heat pumps, and energy-saving upgrades for buildings[eib.org]. This is the second time BNP Paribas Leasing Services has teamed up with the EIB—their first deal went through back in 2021.
EIB Vice-President Teresa Czerwińska calls this a strong follow-up, saying the new agreement gives Polish firms better financing options, helping them grow and boosting Poland’s economy overall. Since SMEs drive most business in Poland, this support also helps draw more private investment their way.
Jarosław Magielski, CEO of BNP Paribas Leasing Services in Poland, says the deal shows their ongoing commitment to helping customers adapt and thrive[eib.org]. The mission: help clients invest in cleaner, greener projects and make sure environmental sustainability stays front and center.
