The FoodGuard Global Summit 2026 is a high‑level, multi‑stakeholder platform jointly organized by UNIDO and Informa Markets, taking place from 2 – 4 June 2026 in Cairo, Egypt. By combining a high-level dialogue, technical sessions, innovation showcases , the event addresses the structural challenges that perpetuate food loss and waste, including fragmented regulatory frameworks, limited cold‑chain capacity, and insufficient adoption of packaging and digital technologies.
The Summit will convene government representatives, regulators, private‑sector leaders, development finance institutions, UN agencies, SMEs, and start-ups to drive coordinated action, harmonize food safety and packaging standards, and promote innovation across the full value chain.
