Life changed for an Afghan villager, Mohammad Yousuf in Panjshir Province when he found out about the National Horticulture and Livestock Project, which taught him and many other farmers how to plant orchards. Since 2008, the project has helped farmers plant over 2,000 jeribs (400 hectares) of grape, almond, apple, and peach orchards.
