Over the last 20 years, the German Development Cooperation via GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) has had a significant positive impact on the Palestinian water sector.
The Water Programme Phase III from 2013 to 2017 supports the implementation of the Reform and works closely with the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), the Water Sector Regulatory Council (WSRC), the Union of Palestinian Water Service Providers (UPWSP) and the water service providers in their daily task to provide reliable, safe and affordable water supply and sanitation services to the Palestinian people.
