USTDA supports India’s aviation sector

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a grant to Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU), an Indian public university dedicated to aviation, to launch an Executive Development Training Program (EDTP). Working alongside the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP), the program will build capacity within India’s civil aviation agencies.

Through the EDTP, ACP member companies will share industry best practices and enhance collaboration with stakeholders in India’s aviation sector through a series of technical training and an observational visit to the United States.

“USTDA is pleased to support this flagship project supporting India’s rapidly growing aviation sector,” said Verinda Fike, USTDA’s Regional Director for South and Southeast Asia. “This project will also create new business opportunities for U.S. companies in the ACP to build relationships and highlight U.S. expertise in a high growth market.”

“Major Industry players such as Boeing, Honeywell, UTC and other ACP member companies are going to develop the course content for this USTDA and RGNAU supported EDT program for executive level talent and experience that is well sought after by India’s aviation industry,” said Sandeep Bahl Program Director ACP. “ACP member companies will also benefit from interaction with the upcoming leaders and entrepreneurs of India’s Aviation Industry through this top level three week immersive program.”
