EBRD expands its investment activity in Greece until 2025

Greek Prime Minister telephoned the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on October 3rd.

Wilbur Ross informed Alexis Tsipras about the U.S. Treasury’s consent to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to expand its investment activity in Greece until 2025.

This move is a continuation of the contacts of the Greek Prime Minister with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in New York last week, on the sidelines of the 73rd UN General Assembly.

The goal is for the EBRD to invest over 2 billion euros over the next five years, especially in the fields of energy, infrastructure and in small and medium-sized businesses.

The Greek premier thanked Wilbur Ross for his continuous interest and constructive response to the effort of strengthening growth dynamics of the Greek economy.
