In the Pacific, two out of three women are affected by domestic violence. Businesses are affected too. In fact, they may lose staff time equal to 9% of their annual wage bill and 11 work days per employee every year. But when companies take measures to address violence in the workplace, both business and employees benefit.
This initiative is under the Pacific Partnership through which IFC, Australia, and New Zealand work together to stimulate private sector investment and reduce poverty in the Pacific.
