CABEI thus accompanies the governments and entrepreneurs of its member countries in their effort to consolidate national procurement processes in order to comply with the best international practices, as a growth engine favoring the business, industrial and social development of its member countries. The fundamental purpose is for the nations to fully realize the procurement processes in projects financed by the Bank.
Integral and transparent principles
The funds are invested in line with the required prudential norms of integrity, transparency, equality, competence, due process and publicity. CABEI’s procurement framework is agile and modern, helping to optimize public and private investments and promoting sustainable development in the region through job creation, innovation and social responsibility.
Accountability
CABEI’s policies establish the procedures that borrowers, beneficiaries, contractors and suppliers must follow in any procurement process associated with projects financed with resources from the institution.
These guidelines ensure that all the credits are destined exclusively for the purposes for which they are granted, guaranteeing attention to the factors of economy and efficient use of funds, due accountability, respect for the environment and quality of the goods and services.
