Add to Preferred SourcesThe Swiss government has made an additional donation of EUR 0.9 million to the Regional Housing Programme (RHP).
This latest donation brings the total contribution of Switzerland to the RHP Fund to EUR 5.9 million, and comes as an acknowledgment of the progress achieved by the Programme to date. The funds, which will finance housing solutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, will reinforce the positive impact that the RHP has on families in need of sustainable housing.
As many as 15 donors, including the European Union and the United States of America, have contributed to date a total of EUR 287 million to the RHP cause. Donations to the RHP Fund will dramatically improve the housing situation of more than 11 000 vulnerable refugee families by the end of 2021.
The Council of Europe Development Bank is the only European development bank with an exclusively social mandate and expertise in migrant and refugee projects as well as in social housing. The RHP is managed by the CEB.
