Agriculture employs two-thirds of Nepal’s population and contributes one-third of the country’s GDP. On the other hand, Nepal is also one of the top-most climate vulnerable countries in the world.
Just as the soil must be prepared for crops, IFC, with support from the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR), part of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), is laying the foundation for a climate-smart business model that promotes farmers’ resilience and increases productivity.
