Now, more than ever is the time to rethink current and future climate policy. Will national governments embrace a more ambitious agenda for climate action and pledge to keep the rise in global temperature to 1.5°C, in line with the IPCC’s recommendations? And how can companies, sub-national governments and civil society work together to effectively accelerate these ambitions to meet, or exceed, the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement?

In the run-up to the United Nations Secretary-General’s Climate Summit, the first-ever High-Level Political Forum on Climate Action and COP25 later this year, the 23rd annual Chatham House event will provide an opportunity to discuss the evolving climate and environmental landscape.

The agenda will examine:

  • The future of climate diplomacy
  • Risk and resilience
  • New frontiers of innovation
  • Green finance and investment
  • Extreme weather events and attribution science
  • Multi-stakeholder action and climate activism
