G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting

Okayama city will host the G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting. Known as a city with advanced medical services, it is recently improving overall health level of the residents with Social Impact Bond (SIB). Projects that utilize medical data for better health also have started.

The first G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting was held in Berlin, Germany, in May 2017, followed by the second meeting in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in October 2018. Thus far, health ministers of the G20 member states have discussed various topics on global health.

Building on previous discussions and commitments in G20, major issues of global health will be discussed. G20 Health Ministers’ Declaration will be finalized during the meeting.
