The latest World’s Volunteerism Report shows that more than one billion people volunteer globally. Considering the hours they contribute, this is equivalent to over 109 million full-time workers.
Volunteering can be both challenging and rewarding. You can gain useful knowledge leading to a greater understanding of the issues that affect other people. What is more, volunteering is a trigger for the economic and social sectors and creates a more cohesive society by building trust and reciprocity among citizens.
