The Inter-American Development Bank will celebrate its 60th anniversary in Washington DC, with a series of events featuring heads of state and leaders from the public and private sectors.
Activities will begin on September 26 in the morning with a Business Summit supported by the Americas Business Dialogue, a private sector-driven initiative facilitated by the IDB, under the theme “Action for Growth: Delivering Economic Development Through Public-Private Engagement.” Panels will cover topics related to innovation, integration and infrastructure.
The afternoon will include a session with Governors and a session with Heads of State.
Special thematic sessions will take place the following day, on September 27. Panels will include accelerating women’s economic empowerment, how institutions have evolved and are impacted by technological change and the challenges and opportunities of providing sustainable infrastructure services.
The celebrations will culminate with a series of cultural activities on September 28, in La Cosecha and 4th Street to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Latin America and the Caribbean.
