Add to Preferred SourcesPRE COP 25 is a preparatory meeting for the Conference of Parties (COP) of the United Nations Climate Change Convention (UNCCC). It is originally organized by the incoming Chair of the COP, which corresponds to Chile this year; but 2019 will be different because Costa Rica and Chile agreed to organize these two meetings in collaboration.
Costa Rica, for the first time in history, will host this great event which aims to contribute with the global process to call for ambition and climate action, the process of negotiation within the framework of the Convention and the Paris Agreement.
PRE COP will be open to representatives of public institutions, local governments, the private sector, the academy and civil society.
