The immediate action of the energy sector is to ensure the continuity and reliability of service to maintain business operations.
In this virtual meeting, participants will share and discuss:
- the operational impacts resulting from the effect of COVID19 on maintaining energy service during the emergency;
- the initiatives for energy users in the region to counteract COVID-19 impact and
- the financial strain on the sector.This virtual meeting is part of a series of virtual meetings to be rolled out by the Energy Division in April and May 2020 under the Bank’s Regional Policy Dialogue platform which seeks to bring together energy experts and policymakers in Latin America and the Caribbean and share their knowledge, experience and actions as they face the COVID-19 health emergency.
