10 new features DevelopmentAid has launched

At DevelopmentAid we keep improving our platform every day. In today’s article, we want to share the ten latest features developed for our corporate and individual members’ better experience and higher productivity. Let’s see what’s new.

#1 Recommended partners & experts for bidding consortia

Tenders and Grants will now also display recommended partners and experts for consortia. The system performs an automatic search and provides results that utilize the following criteria:

  • Matching sectors
  • Legal residence (local partners)
  • Locations of past awards (international partners)
  • Citizenships (local experts)
  • Keywords used in the initial search used to find the tender/grant (international experts).

The results are then grouped as follows:

#2 Matching candidate notifications

This is enabled once a search you perform is saved on the Experts’ Default Database. This new notification is sent on a weekly basis, informing users about newly registered expert profiles. The lists are filtered using the initial criteria stored in each saved search. Members can disable the notification without deleting the saved search.

New features in the Organizations menu

    • The References section in the Top menu has been renamed in Awards and moved under the Organizations menu.
    • Two new filters have been added for the new Awards section: Period and Value
    • The Period filter allows to focus on either ongoing or past projects. It’s also possible to choose how old the displayed results should be.
    • The Value filter lets the user search for awards based on the total value of the project.

#3 Current shortlists for selected organization

Now, more information about organizations’ current project activities based on the official shortlist notices issued by donors is available via “Current shortlists” option.

#4 Sanctioned Lists

DevelopmentAid now keeps track of the sanctioned lists issued by funding agencies. Two sections have been added: Sanctioned Organizations and Sanctioned Individuals (under the Experts menu).

#5 Funding alerts

The current user permissions have been updated and now include alert ownership. Each user under a membership for organizations can disable/edit/remove only their own alerts.

Comment sections have been added as an extra tool for using DevelopmentAid within a team. Comments are only visible to the users who share the same organization membership account (subscription), making this facility perfect for taking and sharing notes.

#7 Request CV update button

DevelopmentAid corporate members can now request CV updates directly from candidates by using the “Request CV update” button present in each Expert profile. The profile owner will then receive a notification. Once a new CV has been uploaded, a follow-up notification will be sent to the initial requester.

New features in the Donors menu

#8 Top contractors

Donor profiles have been upgraded with a new tab called “Top contractors”. The tab contains a list of the top organizations that have been awarded by the funding agency.

Organization members can also filter the Top contractors using Advanced Filters (Legal residence, Awards in a certain geographic region, Number of employees).

# 9 New status category in the Funding menu

Country strategy papers have now been integrated into the Tenders and Grants as a standalone stage – “Country programming” – which can be found in the “Status” filter of the Funding menu. This status indicates the strategic priorities highlighted by donors for specific countries.  We have also updated our Zendesk – the ultimate knowledge base available to DevelopmentAid users.

#10 Tenderwell app

DevelopmentAid knows that bidding on competitive tenders is difficult. Multiple files, email exchanges, online data – this all makes results hard to track and mistakes are often made. Sometimes there are too many disconnected tools and no distinct connection between files. Companies need structure. DevelopmentAid has developed a project acquisition and proposal preparation application called Tenderwell app, fully integrated with our database. It allows its user to pursue tenders more quickly and plan strategically to get ahead of the competition. It can also be used for planning, scheduling and resource allocation.

To learn more, contact us at info@tenderwell.app and we will be happy to show you how Tenderwell helps companies to make smart decisions as well as ensuring that internal processes are open, transparent and efficient.
