With the sector evolving in unprecedented ways and less than ten years to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the international community requires substantial means to reach our ambitions within this timeframe.
Only by working closely together through the sharing of ideas, forming partnerships, and collaborating effectively can we achieve this. Which is why this year, as AidEx celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary on 18 – 19 November 2020 in Brussels, a brand new event encompassing a conference and exhibition will be launched to run alongside it.
The Development2030 conference theme is, “Beyond aid – International development in times of crisis”.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on the world as we know it. Therefore, the Development2030 conference will focus on if popular attitudes towards overseas assistance have shifted and the impact of this on low-and-middle-income countries.
Conference topics will include:
- empowering youth to participate in the development process;
- the role of philanthropy and private financing in financing development;
- equalising global health inequities with technology;
- taking gender equality beyond the data.
