As digitization and internet gains ground in the electricity sector, vulnerability to cyber-attacks increases, jeopardizing a secure supply of electricity to service users.
Additionally, the current context of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 and greater use of teleworking tools have exacerbated vulnerability to this type of attack.
The IDB, together with the support of the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER), have carried out the first regional evaluation on the state of cybersecurity preparedness of companies in the electricity sector in Latin America. The study will be presented in this webinar, including expert recommendations on best practices in the sector and mitigation factors.
