Training on Project Design and Logical Framework Analysis

DevelopmentAid is planning to organise a 2 day Training on Project Design & Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) (focus on EC Proposal Writting).

Objectives of the training

After the workshop participants will:

  1. Have insight in the present weaknesses in approaches to proposal design and conceptualization
  2. Become familiar with the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) analysis and planning technique for design of proposals (preparation and analysis of cause-effect trees and the Logical Framework matrix).

The sequence of the training

1. Opening, context and expectations
2. Identify what goes wrong in project planning and understand the reasons
and why we need to improve our planning procedures and approaches?
3. Find out what needs to be done to formulate a project (understand the
steps of LFA);
4. Demonstrate the steps of the procedure step-by-step and
5. Simulate the planning procedure in small groups;
6. Differentiate between the WHAT LogFrame Matrix describing what should
happen to improve the lives of the ‘end-users’, the HOW LogFrame Matrix
describing how the implementing parties are enabled to do their job.
