Description

Description
The first-ever Ivorian Free-zone, namely the Free-zone of Biotechnology and ICT (ZBTIC) has been launched in the framework of the new National Development Program 2016-2020, which includes major structural reforms aimed at stimulating a sustained and inclusive growth, driven by the private sector, and structural transformation of the economy. The ZBTIC is supposed to host hi-tech industries with a high potential for growth and job creation.
The ZBTIC is located in proximity of the town of Grand-Bassam, a seaside destination and historic city (UNESCO World Heritage Site), not far from the economic capital Abidjan. The site is located in an articulated hydrographic system, including the lagoon Ebrié and the river Comoé. The ZBTIC is divided into three distinct blocks: block A of 60 ha, block B of 242 ha and block C of 322 hectares.
In this context, the African Development Bank supports the implementation of ZBTIC through technical assistance to VITIB SA, a joint venture of the government with national and international private partners.

Keios has been hired to carry out a series of urban and architectural studies, including urban and architectural studies for the development of the area, including the master plan and the regulation for the residential and commercial zone of 62 ha, the preparation of the overall site plan of 242 ha. and the preparation of 3D and 4D models of the whole project.
