Detailed description of project

Two modern incineration facilities were required at the Larnaca and Paphos airports for incinerating wastes collected at the two airports. The capacity of each facility was 500 Kh/hour. The incinerators were equipped with high efficiency burners for improving the quality of the exhaust burners. The location of each incinerator was within the airport facilities.

Type of services provided

The services provided included the execution of an ''Analysis of Initial State'' to record baseline environmental conditions that would be threatened by the proposed project; Identification of impacts by the proposed project; identification of necessary mitigation measures and logical alternatives to project sites and supporting infrastructure; Undertaking a stakeholder consultation; Preparation of the EIA Report; Participation in meetings with the Competent Authorities; Presentation in public hearings.
