Contract Description: The Financing Agreement 2013/ 024-431 "Support to the Lebanese security sector for stability and national cohesion" signed between the European Commission and the Republic of Lebanon aims to improve the institutional capacity of the Lebanese security system to fulfil its legitimate role in a manner that promotes national cohesion and is consistent with the norms of a democratic State.
The programme main focus is the reinforcement of the Institutional Capacity of the Lebanese Army Forces (LAF) and Directorate General for General Security (GS). To this aim a Technical Assistance Team (TAT) has been deployed; the TAT, in close collaboration with the main beneficiaries, has identified needed equipment to be purchased under this contract.
