Appraisal of the Environmental Services Project (ESP) in Albania

Sweden has supported the environment and natural resources sector in Albania in cooperation with the World Bank with multi-bilateral agreements since more than a decade in Albania Forestry Project (AFP, 1996-2004), the Natural Resources Development Project (NRDP, 2005-2011) and the Improved Natural Resources Management Project (INRMP). The latter project has funded studies to prepare the Environmental Services Project (ESP) and its design is based on results and lessons learned from the previous projects. The tentative ESP budget is USD 23 million out of which IBRD loan is USD 10.0 million, GEF grant about USD 3 million and Sida is planning to fund USD 10 million.

Sida hired ORGUT to participate in a WB mission to review the ESP.
