Narrative description of Project:
The objective of the Survey was to assess the rural situation of the Gode Zone stretching along the Wabe Shebele River together with existing irrigation schemes (pump irrigation schemes) established within 20 km radius distance from the centre of Gode town in terms of different areas, and to identify potential ex-pastoralists who are willing to be engaged in irrigation agriculture.
We had revised methodology, survey instruments and detailed survey plan and we collected data from all sampled woredas using a questionnaire, workshops, key informant interviews and focus group discussions. The draft report prepared and collected comments from the client. The final report was submitted at the end of November 2012. We also submitted the Gode woreda map that comprised all kebeles and the topography of the woredas.
