Description:

With the support of AFD, the GoCD has secured a grant from the European Union's Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) aimed at providing technical assistance in the development of the Roseau valley geothermal resources and more specifically of the Dominica Geothermal Development Company.

Lot 1: Support to the Electricity Regulator (IRC) and the Geothermal Advisory Committee.

The following tasks are envisaged:
Task 1.1: Support of the IRC
1.1.a. Assist the IRC in evaluating the geothermal PPA between DOMLEC and DGDC
1.1.b. Build the IRC’s capability to regulate future PPAs and amendments
Task 1.2 Setting up and supporting the Desk of the Advisory Committee
1.2.a. Needs assessment
1.2.b. Preparing work and capacity building plans
1.2.c. Building capacity within the Desk
