Summary of Contract Purpose: Review of the existing funding mechanisms; development of legal and procedural documents, technical
assistance to the Africa Urban Sanitation Investment Fund (AUSIF) hosting institution.

The services to be provided under the Assignment include:

• the review of the existing funding mechanisms including the urban sanitation subsector;
• the review the Water and Sanitation sector operational funding instruments;
• the development of the priority documentation needed for the establishment of the Fund: i) Instrument establishing the AUSIF and ii) the AUSIF Operational procedures;
• the development of a concrete implementation framework for the operationalization of the Fund;
