Contract name: Establishment of the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility Coordination Office - Phase 2 Low- cost Pavement design

Contract description: The objective of the Road Pavement Design for the Pacific Region Study (hereafter described as The Study) is to improve the design and reduce the cost of Pacific road pavements by adopting locally available pavement materials. The study was requested through the Transport Sector Working Group within the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility, managed by the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility Coordination Office. The objective of this phase 2 TA field research is to prepare the field trials by identifying the trial pavement sites, testing the suitability of locally available soil and aggregates for road construction, prepare design specifications for trial pavement sites, and preparing a pavement condition data collection and monitoring protocol for the pavement trial sites.
