Contract Description: The purpose of this contract is to support the Republic of Serbia in carrying out the preparation of establishment of Natura 2000 network, in the frame of EU support to implementation of Chapter 27 of the Acquis on environment and climate change.
The main specific objectives of this contract are:
1) To support the designation process for the potential Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and (proposed) Sites of Community Interest (pSCIs) (with at least 80% of SPAs and at least 50% of pSCIs completed), according to Birds (2009/147/EC) and Habitat (EEC/92/43) Directives, for NATURA 2000 Network.
2) To develop a NATURA 2000 Information System comprising a site and biodiversity database, data entry, query and reporting modules, unifying all existing inventories and databases available from other sources/projects in a common database compatible with BISE (Biodiversity
