Project Title: Development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on gender based violence for companies

ABSTRACT:

Objectives
1) Raise awareness and knowledge among companies about the negative consequences of sexual harassment and gender-based violence
2) Reduce sexual harassment and sexist behaviour in the workplace using a massive open online course (MOOC) for all employees combined with training sessions targeting management, human resources, gender advocates, trade unions.

Activities

  • Interviews of experts/groups of employees on situational analysis
  • literature review of EU best practices in reducing sexual harassment in the workplace
  • development of the MOOC in consultation with the employees, trade unions
  • MOOC pre-testing in a large company in each partner country
  • train-the-trainer workshops including a resource guide + posters for referral to victim support associations
  • advocacy actions with national authorities, European Confederation of Trade Unions
  • evaluation and dissemination of results

Expected results

  • A 20% increase in the detection of cases of sexual harassment in the companies trained
  • improvement of the quality of care for victims as measured by a 15% increase in referrals to specialised services in the trained companies
  • a 40% increase in the level of knowledge of employees trained about the nature and consequences of sexist behaviour in the workplace
