Description

Programme: Poverty Alleviation Programme Evaluation

Description: The evaluation aims to assess the value of the investment by reviewing the impact the research projects individually and the Joint Fund Programme as a whole has had in low and middle-income countries. Also whether it has met its original aims and objectives. The review will take a primarily qualitative approach conducting interviews and reviewing relevant documentation. The data processing is likely to include the collection, recording, organisation and storage of data and dissemination where appropriate. The purpose of processing the data is to review the effectiveness of impact support, synthesis and cohort-building services provided to ESRC-DFID. The overall goal of the Joint Fund is to provide a more robust conceptual and empirical basis for development and to enhance the quality and impact of social science research which contributes to the achievement of human development objectives.
