Description: Lyndon B Johnson Job Corps Center Roof Replacement & Make Up Air Units
Work for this project requires the contractor to be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, miscellaneous items, freight and delivery and all necessary valid licenses and permits for the work summarized as follows:
Summary of Work
1. Dining, Remove and Replace Roof
a.Remove and dispose built-up roofing over the flat (low-slope) section of the roof to the existing deck.
b.Remove and dispose abandoned equipment and roof curbs. Patch decking.
c.Remove and store/protect roof-top equipment to enable equipment curbs,vents, piping, and platforms to be raised to comply with clearance between equipment and finished roof surface. Raise equipment curbs, vents, piping, and platforms. Reinstall roof-top equipment. Test and operate systems.
d.Coordinate and schedule work with installation of new make-up air unit.Include work associated with new roof penetrations, equipment curbs, and flashing.
e.Install tapered insulation.
f.Install new three-ply cold mopped SBS modified bitumen roof system withcap sheet.
g.Install flashing, sealant, and accessories for a complete system.
2. Dining Make-Up Air Unit
a.Remove and dispose suspended acoustical ceiling, lights, diffusers, grilles,and other ceiling mounted devices.
b.Remove and dispose passive make-up air system comprised of ductwork, flexible ducts and associated devices extending from roof mounted intakes to ceiling grilles.
c.Install roof-mounted make-up air unit, equipment curb, gas piping, electrical,controls, and ductwork.
d.Install new suspended acoustical ceiling system, lighting, diffusers, grilles,and other ceiling mounted devices.
e.Test and balance system.
3. Welding, Make-Up Air Unit:
a.Remove and dispose Trane furnace and associated ductwork, electrical, and gas piping.
b.Install concrete pad and pad-mounted make-up air unit, gas piping, electrical, controls, and ductwork.
c.Install new suspended acoustical ceiling system, lighting, diffusers, grilles, and other ceiling mounted devices.
d.Test and balance system.
