Description

Description: The main objective of this consultancy assignment was to undertake impact evaluation of CMAM/IYCF monitoring activities taken care of by national firms. The broad objectives of this study can be stipulated as follows:

· Assess the impacts of the CMAM/IYCF monitors on the strengthening of CMAM program and identify gaps and areas of improvement in the monitoring activities

· Recommend on the feasibility to enlarge spectrum of monitoring activities to include support to other nutrition programs

· Investigate the impacts of monitoring activities on the strength of the Health System and to recommend sustainable and cost-efficient transition/exit strategy

The specific objectives are:

Ø  To assess the performance of the monitors to strength the capacity of health staffs

Ø  To investigate the contributions of the monitors on the quality of CMAM/IYCF program and outreach activities

Ø  To assess the efforts of the monitors on the strength of the Health System at the national and regional levels
To show the ways the monitoring system be improved in the light of sustainability and cost-efficiency
