Description: The special initiative jobs (SI Jobs) program is promoting job-creating growth in certain priority sectors in Ethiopia through targeting private-sector development and promoting investments that lead to employment. Our areas of intervention include:
1) capacity development of small- and medium-sized Ethiopian enterprises;
2) collaboration with the private sector and the Industrial Park Development Cooperation to improve business conditions in industrial parks; and
3) working with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to promote cooperation between Ethiopian and international companies. Our main focus is the textiles and garment sector as the global market for textiles and garments offers considerable export opportunities, is labour-intensive with significant potential for low-skilled employment and offers the possibility to develop an entire value chain from processing the raw materials to the manufacturing of final goods

The entire intervention period is envisioned to take 12 months
