Description

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To strengthen the administrative and technical capacities of the Lithuanian Customs officers in collecting and assessing the intelligence and statistical information so as to prevent smuggling and other customs’ violations more efficiently.

ACTIVITIES:

The project included the following activities:  

    Preparation of a needs assessment in the area of intelligence/statistical information for the Lithuanian Customs personnel
    Practical training in the area of intelligence/statistical information and data processing for the Lithuanian Customs personnel
    Training on the data processing for the regional units of the CCS
    Training on the customs activities’ analysis
    Training on foreign trade and data exchange analysis
    Training on data exchange for the higher-ranking officials
    Training on the most frequent cases of fraud
    Training seminar on the subject of various IT tools and SAS Enterprise Guide
