Project plans the construction of a new building, integrated to the current one used as port warehouse. Crowning works in the north façade of the warehouse building consist on a fire escape and access stair. New building must take into consideration some design restrictions:
- On the one hand, the stair function has to be respected.
- On the other hand, access levels in each floor of the new building need to be in accordance with the existing one as well as with the requirements of a possible museum activity.
Proposed building receives several activities related to the marine environment, with educational and exhibition activities and which will suppose the final end to the warehouse building.
A simultaneous service for both fisher’s warehouse and new building is expected with the design of the new vertical communication structure. Architectural design of the building allows interconnection between the two buildings despite of their different program and use. Ground floor serves as access to the building and consists on a hall, reception, and conference room. First and second floor are intended for exhibitions and consist on two rooms:
- First room, intended for presentations, is equipped with audiovisual means (computers, interactive projectors, virtual reality etc.)
- Second room is intended for conventional exhibitions.
Finally, installation rooms will be located in the attic.
