Description

Services offered.

Having been satisfied with previous ventures to identify, launch, manage and monitor investment projects for various programmes of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, in 2010 CESA decided to intensify its collaboration with IMPULSO by asking the company to submit the proposal and to manage the entire project PROSAVE2. The Ministry of Science and Innovation funds the project through the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) as part of the National Strategic Consortia for Technical Research (CENIT)
initiative, from the 2010 round of bids.

Project outline.

The CENIT PROSAVE2 project “Research project on advanced systems for more eco-efficient aircraft” aims to investigate and develop new technologies nationally in the field of aeronautical systems and subsystems that would allow Spanish companies to achieve the
necessary technological distinction to compete in the demanding international market of the aviation industry. This technological distinction is to be made through new, more energy efficient and more environmentally friendly systems. The project is specifically aimed at developing future technologies for use in advanced performance systems; landing gear; aerial refuelling systems; gas generation and purification systems; and, energy production and recycling systems.

Result.

Impulso’s extensive experience in helping to manage R&D projects ensured the successful coordination of the 18 companies of the PROSAVE2 consortium and the 17 research bodies subcontracted by them. Impulso’s collaboration with these stakeholders led to the preparation of a report that clearly captured the technological distinction that the development of the project will bring about in the sector.
All these factors led to the development of the activities contained in the report being approved by the CDTI and financing being raised through a subsidy. It should be noted that only 12 of the 39 proposals submitted to the CENIT programme in 2010 were approved.
