Description

The aim of this programme was to provide Russian federal civil servants with an insight in the practice of the Dutch legal system. To provide a systemic overview of the Netherlands' judicial system, including legal policy making, implementation of policies, and the major elements of court administration.

The following results have been achieved by this project:
- Participants have gained a better understanding of various aspects of the Dutch legal system.
- Participants have been familiarized with the organisation, structure, functioning and workflows of legal and court system including governmental bodies, such as the constitutional court; the ministry of justice; the court system.

- Keeping track on executive level of the tax modernisation programme in Ukraine.

- Providing executive review on rationalisation of taxing processes, administrative procedures, act renewal, and implementation.

- Discussing progress and challenges with key stakeholders such as; ministers; ngo's; parliamentarians; local governments; local WB office; journalists; chambers of commerce.
