Description

Policy and Management Consulting group (PMCG) is implementing the project “Training Program for the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia” funded by Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

The goal of this project is to support the Finance Department of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia (hereinafter MRA) to improve the overall finance management system through increased capacity.

The training program is aimed to meet the training needs of the Finance Department staff as identified in the Training Need Assessment document. This document has been developed by PMCG experts as one of the deliverables of the previous technical assistance project within the FORECAST program funded by USAID in June 2010.

Objectives of the project:
• Train 13 staff members of the MRA finance department including 5 employees of the Procurement Unit in the following topics:

• Budget Code of Georgia;
• Tax and Customs Legislation in Georgia;
• Budget Classification of Georgia;
• State Procurement System in Georgia;
