Description: The work of this Contract includes all labor, equipment and materials required to replace the existing water pipe network at Sutton Campground and replacing the restroom at Holman Vista day use site with a precast concrete toilet. Both project sites are located on the Siuslaw National Forest.
Most of the water piping will be constructed by directional boring. Drawings show a conceptual water system layout allowing for shifts of locations needed for approval. Best methods of construction (directional boring or open trenching) will be determined prior to construction with contractor input and paid for by actual quantities installed.
This project has three phases of construction depending on pricing and/or as funding becomes available. The base items will be the minimum work completed. Phase 2 and/or Phase 3 will be awarded if funding becomes available.
1. Base Items - Phase 1 will complete approximately 3,000 feet (3-inch diameter or smaller) of water piping for Sutton Loop C, Loop D, and the work center along with replacing the restroom at Holman Vista day use site.
2. Optional Items 1- Phase 2 will complete approximately 3,400 feet (3-inch diameter or smaller) of water piping for Sutton Loop A, Loop B.
3. Optional Items 2 - Phase 3 will complete approximately 1,200 feet (3-inch diameter or smaller) of water piping to connect Sutton Loops C and Loop D to Sutton Loops A and B. Making one system with one water meter.
Existing water system will be abandoned with limited disturbance or clearing to campground.
