Detailed description of project
The main objective of the program is to increase and improve the VET sector in order to answer to the social and economical needs of the country.
The project will support the different teams of the Ministry, mainly in the development of a VET sector strategy (definition of objectives, results, results indicators and budget needed), based on the labor market needs.
All the actors of the VET sector will be involved in the development of this VET sector strategy, such as the civil society, public and private companies, workers, trainers and trainees, training centers, NGO’s, etc.
More precisely, the project will:
Improve the management capacities of the Ministry (objective 1);
Support the creation of new trainings, based on the needs of the labor market ( objective 2);
Support the implementation and the development of partnerships between local and/or international trainers training centers (objective 3);
Prepare and launch 3 Calls for Proposals.The purpose of the calls for proposals is to strengthen the capacity of VET training centers at three levels:Trainers training; Curriculum development; and Capacity building (management of the training centers).
Type of services provided
PROMAN provides the services of the resident advisor to the PMU. Core services include:
Development of partnerships with the different actors of the VET sector (civil society, public and private companies, workers, trainers and trainees, training centers, NGO’s, etc.);
Monitoring of the activities and the results of the first objective (to improve the management capacities of the VET Ministry, at all levels);
To assist the PMU members with the development and the implementation of management tools, procedures manuals,reports necessary to guarantee quality implementation and monitoring of all activities;
The planning and the follow-up of all training activities (pre-service and in-service) for all the actors involved in the VET sector;
To prepare and administer the 3 calls for proposals.
